At the heart of Sullivan Tutor Academy is Harvey Sullivan – an enthusiastic, specialist Computer Science teacher with a passion for making computer science education accessible, creative, and engaging.
Harvey
I have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a PGCE in Secondary Computer Science, and an undergraduate degree in Game Development. With years of 1-1 tutoring and real classroom experience, I’ve helped students of all abilities gain confidence, master tough topics, and most importantly – achieve great results.
I don’t just teach the content, I teach students how to learn, so that they can become independent digital citizens. It’s about building lasting learning habits and deeper thinking skills. I understand the challenges students face with their Computer Science GCSEs and I know how to break down even the most daunting topics into digestible, logical steps – like a computer scientist would!
What Makes Me Different?
Most teachers just break the curriculum down and teach one topic at a time. I do something infinitely more powerful: I’ve developed a structured, research-informed approach called the Sullivan Method – and I’ve built it from what actually works in schools, backed by cognitive science, and I’ve tailored it for online tutoring.

I really enjoy the layout of the lessons and how we complete questions together and in the breakout rooms, I also love the website and how it has the recorded lessons, homework and quizzes to complete whenever and wherever.
